History of the Gospel Music Honors:

The Gospel Music Honors, founded in 1996 by Larry W. Robinson, is an awards celebration designed to honor local citizens in various communities for their contributions to the preservation of the message and presentation methods of Gospel Music. Since its inception, the Gospel Music Honors has become one of the most anticipated events of the year in many communities. The Gospel Music Honors is a gathering of singers, musicians, choirs, quartets groups, praise team ensembles, pastors, and gospel music lovers of every kind. 100% of the net proceeds of the Gospel Music Honors contributions from businesses as well as individuals are used to support the Habitat for Humanity - Calcasieu Area, Inc. and to create programs to promote and preserve the message and diverse styles of Gospel Music so that future generations may enjoy and appreciate its legacy.
